After experiencing broken handles and split sides from typical flimsy dog crates, finding this heavy duty and versatility crate has been a delight. It has much thicker molded plastic, and inset metal bolts instead of plastic screws.The two rugged handles on either end are bolted on to reinforced plates. Though not recommended for safety’s sake, I could easily pick up crate with my show dog in it! But the sturdy rear wheels make this unnecessary. A dog and crate can easily be moved around together with front handle raised and crate tipped slightly back on wheels. Another mark of functionality is that the crate has slots and tabs to allow for secure stacking of multiple crates.I believe that this crate will become the new standard among those who show dogs, and is well worth the extra cost for the regular pet owner as well.

I’m sure it’s a great crate if your pet fits it, but I’m leaving a low rating for the misleading specs.

(1) My dog is 40 lb â but this is too small for him even though the specs say it’s good up to 44 lb.
(2) The dimensions are listed as 26″ long. But that is not the actual “usable” footprint inside the crate, which is about. 20″ â¦ and even less when you account for the wheel wells.

I would say this is a decent crate for up to 30 lb.
