I love knowing all that!! That helps a whole lot! It makes so much sense
now and I never knew any of that! My 2 cats share a litterbox just fine now
and always have and I keep it clean, so since there are no problems, I
guess I will not add another box.

You take so much for granted that the cat owner has a big house, with 1 or
more bathrooms and lots of money to spend on multiple litterboxes and sand
bags.How about giving advice for the people who live in small apartments
and can’t afford the luxuries that seem ordinary for you.

my cat raises his butt as he pees. he eventually reaches above the top of
the litter box and ends up peeing on the wall. I’ve purchased a plastic
storage box with the highest sides possible and cut out one side so he can
go in. however, he ends up peeing towards where the exit is and I run into
pee splattered on the floor. how can I fix this?

can I use dirt as litter? If outside cats go under a bush, they must do
their business in the dirt. Plus, we can use the money for other things.

I use to have a cat that would pee in my room but poop in the littler box.
We had his liter box in something that covered him up because we thought he
wanted privacy. What we did was just got him a box where he could get out
of that wasn’t covered up and I started to increase the depth of the
litter. Sure enough he stopped peeing in my room and started doing
everything in his littler box. That cat was very picky about things but he
was an awesome cat. When my step mom moved out she took him with her to a
different state, I really miss him. :(

I have a whole room for my cat and my cat can run in because the door way
is blocked with a gate and it has a gap so my cat can run in , with her cat
litter in there and it’s a box one with a lid the reason my has a room is
to escape my dog. Because my dog get crazy when play with my cat.

My house is kind of small so we have the cat litter pan between living room
and dining room. Seriously, if you just check the cat litter at least twice
a day, and wash that box at the end of the week for new litter, the box
isn’t going to bother you at all. At least it shouldn’t.

My tenant, who lives in my upstairs loft, has a box she rarely changes and
the odor is horrific.Her cats hate it, and poop and pee on my carpeting, on
her bed – unfortunately, I desperately need her rent income and she’s very
touchy. She has some personality issues and it’s hard to get her to admit
she ever does anything wrong. She gets mad if I clean the box when she’s
gone. What the hell can I do? I’m tired of scrubbing it off the carpet,
wiping it up from the hard floor, washing it out of throw pillows – I
believe she no longer smells it. She seems oblivious.

I like big 2’x3′ concrete mixing pans from HomeDepot. They hold 40+ lbs of
litter easily. I hope the kitties like them too! But I do need more
locations, thx.

I have a cat that is too affectionate, he secrets oils that harm my
allergies so bad. He is so wonderful but I can not pet him due to
overstimulation of his oils.. I can’t give him away, I tried and had to
have him back. What so I do to keep the affection lower and play time
higher?

I have two cats and two litter boxes and they are both in the bathroom.
They have always been in the bathroom and I have never had a problem with
it.
But putting litter boxes behind washing machines and in the garage is just
weird… Would you wanna go pooping behind machines or in the garage?
Probably not!

Me and my cats use the bathroom at the same time, haha. We’re all doing our
thing.

I’ve always had 1 litterbox for my 2 cats. I did this before actually know
that I would need 3 for my 2. I have never had a problem with this so I
didn’t change anything. It seems that if I change what the cats are
comfortable with, then I have an issue.

Hey Jackson my cat poops n pees in the litter box but every so often starts
in there but then comes out with poop on his but and does the scoot across
my carpet. WHY?

my mom is always complaining about the “cat smell” and tbh I cannot smell
it :p Ive done everything.. I do scoop as often as possible and hes the
only cat and he doesn’t mind his box when we first got it he would play in
it rather then potty haha but the thing is im confused as to why my mom can
smell the cat and I cannot…. also what is the best litter I can use?
