Invented by G.Q.F. Manufacturing Co. over 30 years ago, the Hova-Bator is still the WORLD'S BEST SMALL INCUBATOR and the THERMAL AIR FLOW MODEL, is the most economical incubator available. The radiant heat tube gently warms the inside of the incubator, the air and eggs. Thermal action of the heated air flowing out of the exhaust vents in the top of the incubator, draws fresh air in through the bottom vent. This thermal air flow also assists the drying of the chicks after they hatch. This design includes two small windows on top for viewing. The wafer thermostat is proven, accurate technology that produces great hatch results. This model is not suitable for use with the goose egg turner, item No. 1614

Hi, I have a Hova Bator model 1602N and it won’t keep the temperature, I
have to constantly go in my reptile room and adjust the temperature. What
am I doing wrong? I am using it for leopard geckos… ty

What’s the temperature you’re suppose to keep the incubator at for bearded
dragon eggs? Can you give a measurement for how much water to put in with
bearded dragon eggs? and do you keep bearded dragon eggs in all the time or
is there a schedule you should stick to?

I know this video was done a while ago but it is serially the best on the
complete set up process, well done, thorough and easily understood. Only
thing to not have….the loud music in the background. Well done LLL!

Would I be able to incubate crested gecko eggs in here? The reason I’m
asking is because I know you can keep them at room temp. but I just didn’t
know if the incubator would go that low (in temp.) If I got an incubator it
would be able to keep the eggs at a more constant temperature. -Lucas L.

Not unless you buy the package deal. If you buy just the incubator, you
only get the incubator. We also offer a deal with hatchrite and cups for a

It only heats, it doesn’t cool, so if your home is in the 60s or 70s you
could use it to heat them slightly, or keep them insulated and at a
constant temp. You may need one of the new ExoTerra incubators that cools
as well as heats.

We carry mealworms and superworms on our website (which is linked in the
“about” section below the video). We don’t carry or use “reptive”, so I’m
not sure what it is you’re talking about. You should probably ask the
manufacturer of the product how best to use it.

The 1602 Hovabator at our LLLReptile website works great for them. If you
want to go a little more high tech – the Zoo Med Reptibator has a built in
proportional thermostat and works great as well.
