Turns out to be the same pump which I bought 12 years ago. The original ran day in day out for all that time and finally developed a few chips on the impeller probably from stuff in the water. This model has the venturi feature which I did not utilize because I was happy with the original setup (attached to a box filtration and then driving a small fountain on my 300 gallon pond.) I expect I’ll get years of use from this new one, and I was able to buy replacement parts for the original so now I have a spare. Cheaper pumps are not worth the money.

Works great. We run a simple ‘water feature’ pond in the front yard, for roughly 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

I have cleaned the large pore ‘foam’ filter once or twice this year due to leaf debris and algae. Simple wash off in the sink and I was good to go.
Keep the filter on it, and you don’t get debris in the impeller, which will mean a long life to your pump.

Only down side? Short length of power cord. My last unit (different brand that lasted around 12 years or so) had a 25 foot cord. Reached all the way back to an outdoor power outlet I have. This does not go so far. So we have it on an outdoor extension cord, and have that coiled up in an over turned bucket to keep it dry. Works fine. Stays dry.
