i am so jealous of your well behaved maltese. can’t believe how still and
passive your dog is. mine wouldn’t let me do this. 🙁 btw he is so
beautiful. always dreamed of owning a maltese as beautiful as yours. so sad
mine is so naughty.

hi, I love your videos and how awesome you are with your babies they are
all so cute. I have two fur babies Chloe my maltese who recently started
having a lot more tear staining then usual, and Tinkerbell my Chihuahua.
They are both so cute but I have been watching all your videos and tried
the renu contact solution I just want to be sure I am doing it correctly
you only put it on the tear stains and not in the eyes. I watched a few
others say it goes in the eyes and to me I am afraid to cause her any
discomfort, or to make anything worse. I also changed her diet recently but
I don’t think it helped I am going to try the homemade chicken and greens.
I didn’t know about the cornstarch so I will try that too. Thanks for your
help and I am sorry if this post is all over the place. I did groom her
myself recently> I just want to say I am a hairdresser by trade but puppy
cuts are not as easy as people. Thanks again for all your videos I am
learning so much I am going to try the Korean Cut as soon as her legs grow
out some more that cut is awesome.

Tear stains are caused by yeast and grain in the food. Check the
ingredients in the food you are feeding and no doubt it has grain. Check
out dogfoodadvisor.com and feed high quality food. I’m a dog groomer and I
see this all the time as well as paw staining from constant licking. Start
at the source: FOOD!! Good luck!!

I use Eye Envy on Bentley. I actually posted a video on it last week (Puppy
Series #2 HOW I TREAT MALTESE TEAR STAINS, WHAT WORKED & WHAT FAILED!). I
used kid toothbrush to apply the liquid I found it easier to work the
liquid. Now that he’s cleared I only use the Eye Envy once a week if even
that and a pad is fine I cut them in half. My liquid looks different is the
non refrigerated one. I find it to be a little drying for daily use after
the initial 30 day clear up. I love to alternate and find new methods. I
find that I get the best results by mixing things up a bit.
I prefer the Spa Lavish and Eye Wash as my go to. Thanks for your videos
and tips!!!!! Your like my Maltese mentor! I’m still working up the courage
to get the Bravua clippers and use them on him myself #scared

Hello again! You are making life with my maltese the best thing that has
ever happened to me. I was wondering if you’ve had experience with the PURE
PAWS Love My Eyes. I’m debating between that line and Eye Envy.

I’ve been using the eye envy for some time, and with the spa lavish, it
does seem to be working. Their new solution requires no refrigeration like
the previous one. I do like the pads for ease of use and do use the
microfiber cloths to dry before applying the powder. Do be careful not to
get either into the eyes. It can be a bit drying with continued use, but so
far I’m pretty happy with the combination. I’m almost out of the powder, so
will try the cornstarch. Thanks for another great video :)

Excessive tearing can occur as a result of irritation to your dog’s eyes or
because your dog’s tears are not draining properly.
Just as your eye waters if a speck of dust blows into it, dogs’ eyes will
make tears when irritated to flush away anything harmful. When the eyes are
continually irritated, this can lead to chronic tearing that produces
stains. Conditions that might irritate the eye include dog eye infections,
glaucoma, and eyelash or eyelid problems.
In a normal dog eye, there are small holes that drain tears away from the
eye and down the throat. A variety of dog eye problems can affect this
drainage, causing excessively watery eyes. These conditions include:
Shallow eye sockets. If the eye sockets aren’t big or deep enough, tears
can spill out onto the fur around the eyes.
Eyelids that are turned inward. If the eyelids roll in toward the eyeball,
the drainage holes for tears (called puncta) may become blocked.
Hair growth around the eye. If hair grows too close to the eye, it can wick
tears away from the eye and onto the face.
Blocked tear drainage holes (puncta). Previous dog eye infections or eye
damage can cause scar tissue to form that blocks some of the drainage
passages for tears.
